...for every teaching job that I either applied for and/or interviewed for and didn't get, I would be a very, very, VERY rich person right now. Seriously. And all of the emotion that goes with these close grabs at actual teaching jobs is frustrating and extremely draining.
I have been in the field education since 2001. During that short amount of time, I have searched for a full-time teaching position for five years, one before I got my initial classroom teaching job and the past four looking for something more stable in the area since my aide job pays so lousy. FOUR YEARS. IN A ROW. Searching for the same damn thing, over and over, filling out the same paperwork year after year. It is SICKENING.
