It Figures

Bridal showers are fun, right? You get food, fun presents, and most importantly, the spotlight is on you as the upcoming bride. Well guess what? I missed my own bridal shower. Out of all the days that I could have been too sick to come to work, it just had to be yesterday that I woke up feeling terribly ill, feverish, exhausted and overall too sick to function. Since it is too close to the end of the school year and so much is going on, the shower could not be rescheduled, so my coworkers had it in my absence. What a strange party that must have been. "Congratulations... uh, nobody! Let's have some cake!"

At least I scored some sympathy ice cream cake today out of it.
